London firefighters were kept busy battling a blaze in the city’s east end Thursday evening.
Sometime before 8 p.m., fire crews responded to an abandoned home located at 344 Adelaide Street North, just north of York Street. Firefighters arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the boarded up home.
Crews began by dousing the blaze from the outside of the home before making their way inside. Fire officials say the situation is under control as they continue to ventilate the property.
London police were also called to the scene.
It is not clear if anyone was inside the home when the fire started, although no injuries have been reported after a primary search of the building.
More to come.
