Two outbreaks are ongoing at the Gateway Haven Long Term Care Home, the latest due to respiratory illness.
Grey Bruce Public Health identified a respiratory outbreak at the Wiarton home on Monday. Officials confirmed a Gastrointestinal outbreak on Thursday, March 23.
Bruce County says it is following all precautions and safety measures to support all residents and staff as part of its response plan. Outbreak measures may vary slightly based on the agent identified; respiratory illness requires isolation for five days after the onset of acute illness or until symptoms have completely resolved (whichever is shorter).
The Health Unit will advise when the home is no longer in outbreak status.
