London police are hoping the public can help investigators track down a shooting suspect, who should be considered armed and dangerous.
Jamie Edward Muir, 39, of London is wanted for occupying a vehicle with a firearm. The charge stems from an incident in the city’s Pond Mills neighbourhood on March 1. It was around 4:50 a.m. when gunshots rang out in the area of Meadowgate Boulevard and Commissioners Road East. Nobody was injured and no property damage was found, police said at the time.
A 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene and a loaded handgun with an over-capacity magazine was seized. Austin Bryce Withers was later charged with seven offences including unlawfully possessing a prohibited firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, and possession of a loaded regulated firearm.
A second suspect was arrested by officers with the police emergency response and investigative response units a day later in Dorchester. Brandon Kyle Ford, 30, was charged with ten offences including discharging a firearm with intent to wound, possession of a restricted or prohibited firearm, and failure to comply with release order.
Police released a photo of Muir to the public on Tuesday, asking anyone who spots him to call 911 immediately.
“Jamie Muir should be considered armed and dangerous,” police warned.
