Nearly 20 additional charges have been laid against a London man wanted since Tuesday in a string of break-ins near Western University.
London police announced on Friday 33-year-old Marouane Zatouf is now charged by way of warrant with eight more counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, seven counts of possession of an identity document, and two counts of break and enter.
Those charges are on top of the two counts of break and enter and theft, and one count each of trespassing at night, mischief under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order that were laid against Zatouf on Tuesday. That’s when police originally issued the arrest warrant for the 33-year-old and released his picture to the public.
Police have been looking for Zatouf since searching a south London home in relation to a pair of break-ins and a prowling incident last weekend on University Crescent and Patricia Street.
Surveillance cameras captured video of the suspect in two of the incidents, police said.
Several of the stolen items were recovered by officers during the search of the south-end home. It was that search that also resulted in the additional 17 charges being laid.
Zatouf has yet to be located by police.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
