The Hanover Police Service has arrested one person who was accused of domestic violence.
Police Chief Christopher Knoll tweeted that a 33-year-old man from Hanover allegedly committed a “violent domestic assault.” The man faces charges of Assault by Choking, Assault with a Weapon, Weapons Dangerous, Uttering Death Threats, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, Breach of a Weapon Prohibition Order, and Breach of Probation.
The suspect also faces additional charges for attempted theft of a pick-up truck from a local dealership reported to police in the Fall of 2022.
Chief Knoll says the suspect was remanded into custody at his bail hearing.
