A day after a man was stabbed during a break-in at a west London home, charges have been laid against a 41-year-old.
London police were called about the home invasion-style robbery at a home on Paddington Avenue, west of Wharncliffe Road South just after 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Officers were told a man had broken into the residence and stabbed a 38-year-old man who was inside. He was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
Officers searched the area and arrested a 41-year-old London man.
He has been charged with one count each of assault with a weapon and break and enter with intent, police announced on Wednesday. The man is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on February 8.
The victim and the accused did not know each other, police said.
