Driver charged after serious two-vehicle crash

Huron County OPP have charged a driver from London following a serious two-vehicle crash.

On December 14 at 11:30 a.m., police responded alongside Huron County Paramedic Services and the Bluewater Fire Department to a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV on Morrison Line at Kippen Road. Police determined the SUV failed to stop at a stop sign at Kippen Road while driving south on Morrison Line.

The pick-up then hit the SUV on the passenger side. Both drivers and their single passengers were treated on-scene by EMS for serious injuries with one requiring an ORNGE Air flight to London due to a head injury. The roadway was closed for several hours as police investigated.

Police have charged the driver of the SUV, a 36-year-old from London, under the Highway Traffic Act. If anyone who may have witnessed the crash has not yet come forward, you can contact Huron County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
