Ontario Provincial Police in Elgin County have cited a Windsor-Essex driver for a Tuesday morning crash that .
Shortly before 7 a.m., officers were called to the westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Dutton-Dunwich. Two vehicles, a passenger car and a tractor-trailer, were involved in a collision.
OPP Constable Brett Phair said the involved passenger vehicle rear-ended the tractor-trailer. Two people were in the passenger vehicle, and the passenger suffered minor injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not hurt.
A 53-year-old Kingsville man has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
The westbound lanes of Highway 401 at that location were closed so debris could be cleaned up and police could finish their investigation. It has reopened.
