Stolen property and drugs seized in OPP search

An investigation into stolen property by the OPP has recovered thousands of dollars worth in property and drugs.

The Huron and Perth County OPP conducted the search on December 6, alongside the Community Street Crimes Unit and the West Region Emergency Response Team. The search was done at a residence on William Street in Exeter. The search resulted in officers seizing stolen property that included tools, a tankless water heater, home furnace, a generator, new home fixtures, antique coins, cash, and a replica handgun. Police also seized quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.

The value of the stolen property recovered is estimated at $13,500. The value of the seized substances is estimated at $5,100. Also, $625 in currency was recovered during the search. A 44-year-old and a 35-year-old, both from South Huron, are facing numerous charges.

Both of the accused have been released from custody with court dates scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich at a later date.
