Getting broadband service to Huron County residents was near the top of the list of priorities for the previous county council.
But CAO Meighan Wark says they were very successful in addressing some other critical issues as well.
“Some of the other major accomplishments that have been overseen by members of county council include the development of a homelessness task force and the continuation of the Out of the Cold emergency shelter,” Wark says.
Wark adds, the general shortage of housing and particularly affordable housing, was another growing concern.
“There were three major building projects completed or are in the works right now that will result in fifty-seven new units in Huron County, with other projects in development,” adds Wark.
Wark says those projects will be located in various communities throughout the county.
