London woman charged after police seize $80K in fentanyl

A raid on a home in east London saw police seize more than $80,000 worth of fentanyl.

Officers with the London police guns and gangs section, with the help of the emergency response unit and the canine unit, searched the home in the area of Hamilton Road and Oriole Drive on Thursday.

The search turned up 546 grams of fentanyl, valued at $80,400. Three digital scales, one money counter, 80 grams of a binding agent, and a large amount of bundled cash were also seized.

A 42-year-old London woman has been charged with possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

She is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charge on December 28.
