A recent incident where a person barricaded themselves in their home in Milverton has resulted in numerous charges.
On November 15 just after 10 a.m., Perth County OPP responded to a disturbance at a home on Pacific Avenue in Milverton. A suspect had barricaded themselves inside and refused to come out. Eventually, police negotiators were able to coax the 31-year-old Perth East male out of the building. The man is now facing charges including assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, failure to comply with release order, fail to comply with probation order and assault a peace officer.
The accused has been held in police custody pending a bail hearing.
