A recent search warrant enforced by the West Grey Police Service has a West Grey resident facing a long list of charges.
West Grey Police Service say they executed a search warrant on Monday, October 24 at a property in West Grey. They did so in partnership with the Canada Border Security Agency, the Ontario Provincial Police Major Crime Unit, the Provincial Weapons Enforcement Unit and the Regional Support Team. The search warrant resulted in the seizure of $3,500 in currency and a large amount of firearms, ammunition, prohibited devices and firearm components.
A 24-year-old from West Grey is facing a list of 25 criminal code charges, including 15 counts of possession of a restricted firearm. The accused remains in custody following a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice.
