OPP seeks help in finding missing Midland man

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for a man who has been missing for over a week.

Investigators at the Southern Georgian Bay detachment say Steven Wilkins, 62, of Midland, was last seen October 3 in the area of King Street and Hugel Avenue.

Friends are trying to find him out of concern for his well-being. Police believe he may have taken public transit to the North Bay, Sudbury, Collingwood or Orillia areas.

Wilkins is described as a White male, 4′ 11″, 150 pounds, with short dark hair. It is believed he was wearing a dark-coloured baseball cap with a dark-coloured jacket, and dark-coloured joggers with a T-shirt likely tucked into the joggers.

Anyone with information on Wilkins’ whereabouts is urged to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or by email. Anonymous tips may be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) to be eligible for a cash reward.
