Saugeen Shores Police Service had set up to conduct a RIDE check at around 5:45pm Saturday.
Officers say they saw a car turn around in an attempt to avoid the checkpoint.
The vehicle was stopped a few moments later and a 26-year-old male of Saugeen Shores was arrested for Operation while Impaired.
SSPS reminds residents RIDE checks happen at all hours of the day. Please don’t drink and drive.
