Assault suspect arrested in London

A Windsor man was arrested in London on Monday for an assault that happened in downtown Windsor earlier this month.

On September 3, Windsor police officers were called to the area of Park Street West and Pelissier Street after a person was the victim of an unprovoked assault.

Police learned the victim approached a man who appeared to be in distress. The suspect then assaulted the victim and took off with his bike. The victim suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A warrant was issued for a 35-year-old Windsor man. The London Police Service apprehended the suspect and he was brought back to Windsor.

He is facing charges of aggravated assault, mischief, and robbery.
