Bruce Power has announced that it will be donating $225,000 to the Lamont Sports Park initiative in Saugeen Shores.
The funds will help build the Bruce Power Suppliers Pavilion.
“The Bruce Power Supplier Sponsorship Program creates a collaborative environment for supplier partners to get involved with projects that enrich communities,” said Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s President and CEO. “Many of their employees live and work in these communities and appreciate having such supportive companies and Communities.”
“Saugeen Shores is proud to be home to many outstanding nuclear supplier companies and their employees,” said Saugeen Shores Mayor Luke Charbonneau. “This incredible contribution to the Lamont Sports Park is a strong demonstration of their collective commitment to our community.”
Phase 1 of the Lamont Sports Park project is already complete with four lit baseball diamonds to be ready for play in the spring of 2023, as well as a sun shelter, while Phase 2 will see the construction of an additional two diamonds and an accessible playground.
