Saugeen Shores Police confirm they are looking for two male suspects in relation to a recent assault in Port Elgin.
A heavier-than-normal police presence has been seen near the area of Nodwell Park since Wednesday, when the service says a woman was forced into a wooded area around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
Police say the young female victim was physically assaulted, and her cell phone was stolen.
Upon being notified, Saugeen Shores Police searched the area but the suspects were not located.
Suspect 1:
Young, white male. Approximately 6’2 with a thin build, short “fluffy” brown hair. Blue or Green eyes. Was wearing a zippered grey hoodie and a blue surgical mask
Suspect 2:
Young, white male, Approximately 5’5 with a heavier build. Walks with a limp. Wearing a zippered black hoodie, dirty light blue jeans with rips, blue surgical mask, possibly an orange ball cap.
Investigators are asking residents in the area of Market Street, Geddes Street and Parkwood Drive to check doorbell cameras or any other surveillance devices for information that may assist in their investigation.
