Provincial police in Oxford County have released the names of two men who were killed in separate collisions.
On Sunday, July 3 at around 1:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a collision on Gunn’s Hill Road in Norwich. A motorcycle and a pickup truck collided head-on. The driver of the motorcycle was rushed to hospital, but did not survive his injuries.
Police have identified him as Neal Daniel Whyte, 33, of Cambridge.
The next day, there was another head-on collision that claimed a life. Police say a car and an SUV collided head-on on Hofstetter Road near Plattsville. Four people, including three children, in the SUV suffered non-life threatening injuries, however the driver of the car was pronounced dead in hospital.
On Wednesday, police identified him as Kevin Thompson, 41, of Plattsville.
Both collisions are still under investigation by the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police.
