In an update to a story that ran in the print version of The Kincardine Independent this week, plans for the Tourism and Visitor Centre on Highway 21 have been revised, based on discussion at council on June 6. The revised information was not available at press time.
The original plan for 2022 had involved a variety of locations – taking the centre to where people gather, as various models of operation were explored.
However, the revised plan now calls for the visitor centre to be open seven days a week to provide residents and visitors with information, maps and resources.
The Tourism and Visitor Centre hours are:
• Monday to Thursday – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Friday – 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday and Sunday – 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
