Perth County OPP have laid sexual assault charges following an investigation into harassment.
Police received a report from the victim that they were being harassed by a person they used to be in a relationship with. The victim also revealed details regarding unwanted sexual contact resulting from the harassment. The reported incidents occurred between August 2021 and April 2022. Following an investigation, police have charged a 25-year-old North Perth native with Assault – Spousal, Sexual Assault and Criminal Harassment – repeatedly communicate.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a future date to answer to the charges.
