The Township of Southwold was reminded Sunday of a scheduled water service interruption that will occur overnight.
The Director of Infrastructure & Development Services, Peter Kavcic, said for residents to expect a complete loss of water service or very low water pressure from 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 24 until 11 a.m. on Monday, April 25.
The reason for the service interruption is related to a large water valve replacement at the Elgin Middlesex Pumping Station.
Kavcic assured that water quality won’t be compromised, but anyone who experiences cloudy water following the repair is advised to run their taps until the water clears.
A letter from the Township to warn residents of the interruption initially went out on April 7, 2022.
