Windy conditions are expected to blow through parts of southwestern Ontario on Thursday.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement late Wednesday afternoon for areas including London-Middlesex, Elgin and Oxford County, Windsor-Essex, Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce County.
The weather agency said wind gusts of around 50 kilometres per hour are expected early Thursday morning and could reach between 80-90 km/h by the early afternoon as a cold front moves through the region.
Hazards associated with strong winds include power outages and flying debris. Wind warnings may be issued in some areas as the system approaches.
