January 12th, Purple Grove Women’s Institute met via Zoom, Marilyn Reid was hostess. President Cheryl Bridge welcomed the attendees and shared two readings “Walk Away” and “Life has taught me.” We also repeated our Mary Stewart Collect and Ode. A short business meeting was followed by announcements of WI news. We are pleased to congratulate our new FWIO President Michelle Phillippi of Walkerton and look forward to her leadership. Our speaker was Heather Finnie and topic was Organizing your space. Heather has been following the practice of author Marie Kondo with her book “the life – changing magic of tidying up”. Things that we keep should bring us joy. Heather has helped people when they have to make life changing decisions voluntary and involuntary. The 5 main areas addressed are 1 – clothes 2 – books 3-papers 4- miscellaneous – kitchen, decorations, jewellery, tools- stuff 5- photos & sentimental. Read More
