Break-in at commercial property results in arrest

South Bruce OPP have arrested and charged one person following a break-in at a commercial property.

On January 25th at 4:32 a.m., officers responded to a report of a break and enter at a commercial property in the 1500 block of Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township. Members of the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team and an OPP Canine Unit assisted officers with a search of the area. A 45-year-old Wellington North native was located and arrested without incident. The accused was charged with Break and Enter, Possession of Break-In Instruments and Theft over $5,000.

Police also discovered through their investigation that a Black Audi S4 was stolen. The value of the stolen vehicle is estimated to be more than $40,000. There are no license plates on the vehicle, but the serial number is on file with police. Anyone with any information regarding this crime should contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
