Firefighters from three different departments are working to douse a massive barn fire southwest of London.
The blaze at what appears to be a horse barn at 2966 Brigham Rd. in Delaware broke out before 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Thick, black smoke from the fire filled the air and was visible in south and southwest London, leading to multiple calls to 911.
Firefighters from Middlesex, London, and Strathroy-Caradoc are on scene trying to extinguish the flames.
A photo tweeted by Middlesex OPP shows the barn has been consumed by fire with flames shooting several feet into the air.
There is no word on whether anyone has been hurt or if there were animals in the barn.
Brigham Road between Longwoods Road and Elviage Drive has been closed while crews battle the blaze. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.
