A 19-year-old man is facing nearly a dozen weapons and drug-related charges after a weekend disturbance at a downtown London business.
London police were called to the business, which was not named by police, in the area of Carling and Richmond streets around 2:50 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were told there had been a man with what was believed to be a handgun involved in the incident.
A suspect matching a description of the man was found a short distance away.
A search turned up a loaded gun and a quantity of drugs, police said.
A London man has been charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm and one count each of possession of a loaded regulated firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited firearm, careless storage of a prohibited firearm, handling a firearm in a careless manner, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
He is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Monday.
