Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services received a $10,000 grant towards new equipment for their training efforts.
The organization was awarded the grant through Enbridge’s Safe Community Program. They will put the money towards the purchase of a Magnum Fire Training System for their Bruce Avenue facility.
“This contribution provides a great start towards our goal to assemble the funds to complete this purchase,” said fire chief Brad Lemaich. “We truly appreciate local industries and businesses like Enbridge, who contribute to enhancing community safety.”
According to the municipality, the Magnum system uses remote controls to fuel it with propane, generating up to 2.8 million BTU of output for fire extinguishing training scenarios.
“It’s great that we have community partners that support our efforts to provide the highest quality training opportunities for our firefighters,” added Chief Lemaich.
