Londoner killed in three-vehicle crash, witnesses sought

Provincial police are looking for dash cam footage of a three-vehicle crash near Ingersoll that claimed the life of a Londoner.

An SUV, car, and minivan collided at a property on Highway 19, north of Sweaburg Road in Southwest Oxford around 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The driver and lone occupant of the car, a 32-year-old from London, was rushed to hospital where they were later pronounced dead. That individual’s name has not been released.

The five people in the minivan suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the SUV driver wasn’t hurt.

Oxford OPP are asking anyone who was travelling in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 and exited onto Highway 19 around the time of the crash, who has information or dash cam footage, to call them at 1-888-310-1122. Businesses in the area are also asked to check their surveillance systems to see if they captured the vehicles involved in the collision.

“That key piece of information that you may think to be trivial, may be something that holds the piece of the puzzle together for the investigators involved in this incident,” said Constable Ed Sanchuk.

The investigation is continuing.
