Obituary – Gregg McClelland

GREGG McCLELLAND

Gregg Robert McClelland died suddenly but peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, April 29, 2023, at London University Hospital. He was 78.
Devoted husband of Dorothy “Dotty” McClelland (née Fenton) of Kincardine.
Loving father to Kevin Gregg McClelland and his wife Tanya, of Pickering; and Ryan Dale McClelland and his spouse Amanda, of Courtice. Proud grandfather of Kevin’s daughters, Kaley and Kiera McClelland.
His extended family will miss him deeply: Glenn and Connie Fenton of Toronto and Dale and Linda Fenton of Collingwood and their families. (Gregg considered Glenn and Dale his adoptive brothers.)
Gregg worked as a sales director of Group Insurance at Crown Life for 37 years, where he and Dotty met. He retired at age 55 and left his home in Toronto for his adopted home of Kincardine.
He was a tireless volunteer and past president for the Kincardine Hospital Foundation, past president of the PROBUS Club, faithful member of Kincardine United Church and Past Master of Northern Light Masonic Lodge. Gregg’s passions were golfing, telling jokes (and bad puns!) and cheering on his Blue Jays and Leafs (Go, Leafs, go!).
The family wishes to thank the Kincardine hospital and all of the medical professionals for the care received – both now and over the years.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be announced, once details are finalized.
Expressions of sympathy would be gratefully received by the Kincardine Community Health Care Foundation and the Kincardine United Church.
