Huron County council returns to in-person meetings

Huron County council has returned to the chambers after almost three years.

Warden Glen McNeil said they had hoped to start in meetings a bit earlier, after going fully virtual due to COVID-19 restrictions, but it didn’t work out.

“We had some challenges at the court house and in our council chambers,” said McNeil. “These IT issues just manifested over time. I’m happy to say that we were able to meet in-person again this past week.”

McNeil said it is their intent to meet in the council chambers moving forward. McNeil added both the audio and the video in the chambers are now working very well.

They will still be offering virtual meetings. Anyone who wishes to observe a county council meeting in-person is welcome to join them and anyone wishing to watch a council meeting online can access it through Huron County’s website.
