The Municipality of Minto is issuing a precautionary boil water advisory for the Minto Pines Drinking Water System while a new well is created.
The advisory takes effect as the new well project begins at 8 a.m. Monday, April 24, 2023.
While the new well is drilled, and then commissioned, the existing well will be out of service. So the Minto Pines water system will be pressurized by a temporary water supply. It will mean very limited capacity, so water consumers are being asked conserve water and avoid any non-essential water usage such as watering, car washing, and pool filling.
The advisory will remain in place for approximately two weeks or until work is complete. The town will hand deliver a notice informing consumers that the boil water has been lifted and it is safe to resume normal water consumption.
