One person charged following incident involving a weapon

Grey Bruce OPP worked alongside a local First Nation police service during a recent incident involving a weapon that resulted in charges being laid.

On April 19 just after 9:30 a.m., Grey Bruce OPP officers responded alongside Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police to a disturbance involving a weapon on Kaikaiknong Crescent. Officers on the scene were able to locate and arrest a 43-year-old from Hamilton, and charged the suspect with assault causing bodily harm, two counts of mischief under $5,000, two counts of uttering threats and possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.

The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.
