South Bruce police bust two alleged drunk drivers in 90 minutes

South Bruce OPP were busy on April 15, as they arrested two allegedly impaired driver charges within the same two-hour window.

At 3:07 p.m, they first received a report of a suspected impaired driver in Elderslie Township. According to police, a car veered off the road, rolling into a ditch. A 23-year old driver of Arran-Elderslie was arrested and now faces charges of impaired driving and operating over 80 milligrams.

Roughly an hour and a half later, at 4:38 p.m., OPP received another suspected impaired driver call in Kincardine.

A 33-year old driver of Kincardine faces three charges; operating over 80 milligrams, possessing more than one license, and obstructing a license plate.

South Bruce OPP remind drivers that an impaired charge results in a 90-day driver’s license suspension and a seven day vehicle impoundment.
