Stratford man charged in McNab Street stabbing

A 58-year-old Stratford man is in stable condition after getting stabbed at a residence on McNab Street on Monday.

Stratford Police Services responded to a 9-1-1 hang-up at the residence around 10:30 a.m. and discovered the victim on the front porch. He was transported to local hospital by Perth County Paramedics and later flown to London Health Sciences Centre. He remains in hospital.

Police arrested a 27-year-old Stratford man who was at the residence when they arrived. He is facing charges for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

The accused was held in custody to attend a bail hearing on Tuesday.

The investigation is ongoing.
