An early morning stabbing in east London has sent one man to hospital with serious injuries.
Emergency crews were called about the incident in the area of Gore and Clarke roads around 1:45 a.m. on Monday. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have not provided any other details about the stabbing, including whether a suspect has been arrested.
“The investigation is in its early stages, and more information will be provided as it becomes available,” police said.

This is the second stabbing in the city in two days. On Sunday, a man was stabbed by a person who broke into his Maitland Street home around 1 a.m. The man suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries. A suspect is in custody. Police previously said the stabbing was not an isolated incident as the two people involved were known to each other.
