The Mount Forest Patriots scored two power play goals and held on to beat Hanover 3-2 in Game 3 of the PJHL Pollock Division Finals.
The Patriots now lead the series 2-1.
Brody LeBlanc led the way for Mount Forest with two goals and an assist.
LeBlanc opened the scoring at the 14:06 mark of the first period, his 13th of the playoffs.
In the second period, Mount Forest extended the lead on the power play, when Leblanc drove up the right wing and set up a goal scored by Elijah Brahaney.
Hanover was able to score in the third to cut the lead in half. Carter Moran was credited with the goal on a scramble in front of the net.
But, Mount Forest regained a two goal lead when Leblanc fired a shot that slipped in blocker side high. The goal coming on the power play.
Hanover would score their second of the game with just over a minute and a half left in the third period, but then time then ran out on the Barons.
Both teams played at a high tempo with aggressive forechecking.
Game 4 is Wednesday night in Hanover at 8 p.m.
