A downtown apartment has been evacuated as firefighters continue to ventilate the building on Ridout Street early Saturday morning.
Firefighters responded to the apartment fire around 6:40 a.m. at 59 Ridout Street.
Officials said the fire has since been knocked down and a secondary search is underway.
Two dogs were rescued by fighters and one person was assessed by paramedics.
No injuries were reported.
A London Transit bus is on scene to keep tenants warm while investigators look into the cause of the fire.
