Police issue warning following release of ‘high-risk’ offender

London police are warning the public of a high-risk offender who has recently been released from police custody.

In a statement on Saturday, police said 55-year-old Allan Eugene Ashton was recently released from custody and will be residing in the London area.

He has a history of violence, criminal harassment, uttering threats, and sexually-related offences, according to police.

Police said they are concerned that he may commit similar offences in the future.

Ashton is described as a white male, approximately 190 lbs, about five feet-nine in height, with brown hair and green eyes.

“The London Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the release of Ashton,” read the statement.
