This is the sixth case of gunfire in London so far this year. A 24-year-old man was charged after shots were fired outside of a home on Whitney Street southeast of the intersection of Dundas and Second streets last Thursday afternoon. A replica gun was seized.
Last Wednesday, shots were fired on Shelborne Street, northwest of Commissioners Road and Highbury Avenue. No one was hurt, but police found evidence of gunplay. A day earlier, a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound outside of a home on Langmuir Drive. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
In a targeted attack, two men were shot at in the parking lot of a plaza at Fanshawe and Hyde Park roads on February 17. An 18-year-old London man has been charged by way of warrant in that case. A person was shot in a violent armed robbery at London Gold Buyer in January. Four men from the Toronto area face several charges in relation to the incident.
