Three weeks after two dirt bikes tore through the city in an allegedly reckless manner, London police are turning to the public for help identifying the drivers.
Concerned citizens called police around 3:15 p.m. on February 2 after reportedly seeing the two un-plated bikes run red lights, stunt driving, and passing vehicles while driving into oncoming traffic.
Police tried to stop the bikes, but they took off after getting into a “minor collision” with a marked police cruiser, police said.
No injuries were reported.
On Tuesday, police publicly released surveillance images of the two bikes and the individuals operating them. The first bike is described as a yellow Suzuki dirt bike. The person operating the bike is said to be a White man, approximately 30-years-old, with a moustache. He had on a yellow and red helmet, a blue winter coat, and grey pants.
The second bike is described as a white Suzuki dirt bike. The description of the man operating the bike is limited. However, police said he had on a black and white helmet with a camera affixed to it, a black coat, and green pants.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident or the identity of the drivers is asked to call police at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
