Motorists in Midwestern Ontario could face some hazardous road conditions Friday evening and overnight.
A winter weather travel advisory has been issued for Huron, Perth, Bruce, Grey, and Northern Wellington Counties.
Environment Canada warned of significantly reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow. The weather service said to expect snowfall rates of 2 cm/h, with between 4 to 7 cm of accumulation expected. That will be accompanied by strong wind gusts up to 60 km/h.
Motorists were asked to prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, you should turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
