A Goderich native has been arrested and charged in relation to a sexual assault investigation.
Perth County OPP began an investigation on January 17 just after 11 p.m. into an alleged sexual assault that was said to have taken place in North Perth. Investigation revealed that the victim was allegedly assaulted and sexually assaulted. The victim sustained minor injuries. As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old resident of Goderich was charged with Sexual Assault with a weapon and Assault – Spousal.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
