Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain warning for London, Middlesex County, Oxford County, and Huron County.
According to the forecast, freezing rain is expected early Thursday morning and should end around noon as temperatures rise above zero.
Precipitation will fall in the form of freezing rain, ice pellets, and snow.
“Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. There may be a significant impact on rush hour traffic in urban areas,” a statement from Environment Canada read. “Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.”
The weather agency also warned that utility outages may occur during this time.
