A 36-year-old London woman is facing charges after a home invasion near Old South saw a man robbed at gun-point.
The man reportedly answered a knock at the door to his apartment on Simcoe Street north of Richmond Street around 10:40 a.m. on Saturday. A woman then pushed her way inside, pointed a gun at the man and verbally threatened and demanded property from him, London police said.
The woman left with undisclosed stolen items, after which the man, who was not physically hurt, called 911.
Officers located and arrested a suspect shortly after.
A London woman has since been charged with armed robbery, pointing a firearm, using a firearm during the commission of an indictable offence, carrying a concealed weapon, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and breaking and entering. She is scheduled to appear in court on February 27.
Police have confirmed this was not a random incident, noting the man and the suspect were known to each other.
