Cable and internet lines damaged at 10+ Owen Sound homes

Around 10 Owen Sound homes were vandalized early Sunday morning when the internet and cable lines attached to their homes were intentionally cut, according to police.

Owen Sound Police say that sometime between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m., numerous residences were targeted in the area of 3rd Avenue East and 2nd Avenue East.

Home owners in the area reportedly woke up without service and soon discovered the cause of the problem. The Owen Sound Police Service was notified and officers began their investigation.

“If you have experienced similar circumstances and confirmed tampering/damage with the outside cable lines coming to your home, please contact the Owen Sound Police Service to file a report,” the police force said in a statement. “It is believed there are more victims who are affected and may be unaware of the damage.
