Provincial police in Huron County say they’ve charged a Goderich resident with assaulting police.
Huron County OPP said officers were asked to help with a family dispute in Goderich on December 29th.
When they arrived, police said a woman who had been drinking alcohol was present and was verbally abusive. The woman allegedly pushed the officer and grabbed the officer’s vest.
Police say the 24-year-old woman has been charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
She has a court date set in February to answer to the charges.
