JONATHON TRAVIS
Jonathon “Jonny” Nelson Travis of Tiverton passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at the age of 44.
Cherished son of the late John Travis (1999) and Margaret (née Jackson) Travis-Gilchrist (2022).
Dear brother of Kate (Josh) Kunkel of Tiverton and Victoria (Michael) Ogg of Kincardine. Adored uncle of Peyton, Kyra, Oaklynn and Willow.
Fondly remembered by his step-father Brian Gilchrist, aunts and uncles Gordon (Jean) Travis, Bill (Carol) Jackson and Sandy (Ginger) Jackson and by several cousins.
Predeceased by his grandparents Nelson and Mona (née Ibbotson) Travis and Harry and Elsie “Peachie” (née George) Jackson, and nephew Odin John Ogg.
Jonny was a great big brother and the best uncle anyone could ask for. Family was very important to him. In fact, he was the hub of the family and his group of friends. You could say that he was the glue that kept everyone together. He was very proud of living on the family farm. Jonny enjoyed any kind of sport and was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays and Buffalo Bills. He liked to have a good time, was funny and very witty. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022 at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home in Kincardine, where the memorial service to honour Jonny’s life was also held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, with Ann Maycock officiating.
Interment Port Bruce Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Jonny’s memory to WES for Youth Online or Get In Touch For Hutch would be appreciated by the family.
