Local mayor running again for County Warden

Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Mayor Glen McNeil announced at the November 2 county council meeting that he would be running for a second term as Warden of Huron County.

McNeil is just completing his first term.

“It is a privilege to represent Huron County council and Huron County in total and with that comes a lot of sacrifices of our family and our business. I consulted our family in advance of this decision and they support me 100 per cent,” McNeil said.

McNeil also points out it would be impossible to effectively serve as Warden without the support of a strong team.

“Be it the family at home or all of Huron County council and all of our staff and senior management team. Kate Puska, our executive assistant, assists me 100 per cent, Kate looks after all of the organizing of all of the meetings,” added McNeil.

The Warden will be elected by county council early in December.
