A two-vehicle crash in Woodstock has sent a motorcyclist to hospital with critical injuries.
Shortly before 8 p.m. Woodstock OPP along with emergency crews responded to a crash at on Dundas Street just east of Clarke Street.
Police said a vehicle attempting to make a left turn into a plaza struck a motorcycle in the westbound lane which caused the driver to lose control and be ejected from the motorcycle.
According to police, the driver of the vehicle parked in the plaza parking lot and then fled on foot from the scene.
Police said they received a tip from the public about the driver going into a nearby store. The driver was arrested.
The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to London Health Sciences Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A 33-year-old man from Waterloo has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, failing to stop after a collision, and driving under suspension and operating without insurance.
